Our Vision: Hospice patients and their loved ones are empowered to transform the end of life experience into the final act of living well.
Through your gifts, the Foundation provides financial assistance during end of life care to individuals in need and their loved ones. Assistance may include personal items, rent and utility payments, final arrangements and other support that enables individuals to die with comfort and dignity.
The Foundation promotes quality end of life care by funding research projects such as music therapy and non-pharmacological interventions for agitated patients. Anecdotal evidence reveals a profound impact on quality of life by supporting novel approaches to care.
The Foundation educates the community through its annual End-of-Life conference.“This was one of the most personal, inspirational, and educational conferences I have attended. Thank you to all the guest speakers for agreeing to be a part of this wonderful experience and to share their stories.” Susan Villarreal
We are inspired by the kindness and creativity that has led people to make masks for themselves, loved ones and strangers.
We want to capture images of masks, along with people wearing their masks, and the stories of how they came to be, as a way of memorializing this extraordinary time in our history.
We shared the idea of capturing the images and stories with our friends at the Virtual Funeral Collective - a group of specialists who work with dying, death, and grief on a daily basis. With the help of Collective members Betsy Trapasso and Dr. Candi K. Cann we have launched this platform to collect images and stories.
